Transmission Kickdown Cable????????

is there a mod or way to disconnect the kickdown cable attatched to the auto tranny if it even has a kickdown cable? Maybe a vacuum sensor or something. Reason i ask is that i don't like the way my auto tranny insists on downshifting when i try to moderately accelerate. I want it to stay in the gear it is in and drive on like the standards do. I can always use the auto lever to manually downshift if i have to. I just really hate the way it downshifts and pegs the tach, i think it has the power to pull through the gear without the shift. I'm actually talking about the downshifts from od to 3 and 3-2. Any suggestions or am i the only nut on this site who thinks this way??

There is no kick down cable. The pcm controls the tranny. Do a searck for Sonnax valve and Tricumulator springs. That's what some are doing to improve shifts.

The Sonnex and Tricumulator will make the shifts firmer, but won't change WHEN the transmission shifts.

You need to reprogram the PCM to do this. Good luck with that!
