hey all im still on my quest for tires. i was wondering if anyone has heard of capital brand tires. the place i get my tires from has them in 31 x10.50x 15 for 90.00 $ mounted and balanced. i saw them and they kinda have the same tread design as cooper tires. he says they are good tires for the money. they are rated load range and all for the bronco. i now have bfg all terraiuns, they are great but they are noisey. i dont take the truck hard wheelin but i do sometimes drive dirt roads. i go slow when on the dirt. what do you guys think, i will go to buy them tommorow, i think.
I have never heard of them. I would suggest getting on a search engine and doing some research before you buy. A day or so more of noise from your present tires may not be as bad as buying something you will regret. Once they are mounted, they are yours. I would be a little cautious. You must have some doubts, otherwise you would not have posted Good luck.
I bought the Pro Comp AT's, and love them. They were $105 at four wheel parts, but they have the Buy-3-Get-1-Free offer, which made them less than $80 per tire! I also paid $10 mount and balance per tire at my favorite local place.
YOU think Mall Terrains are noisy? you don't know what a noisy tire is. Try runnin a set of swampers or boggers. i just bought some TSL's so that my tires would rumble.
Your Truck is not a Truck if the tires don't humm!
If you can't hear it befor you see it, then whats the point?
thanks guys
i love my bfg all terrains but they want 140 each mounted and balanced. i saw at wally mart they have bfg land terrains for 88.00 dollars. besides the sidewall being 2 ply rather than 3 ply they look the same as the at's. yes im having doubts and only want to spend my money once. ive been checking out all kinds of tires and just am afraid i wont like what i buy. the bfg's are not loud outside but the noise echos in the way back and it makes me drowsy sometimes. im open for all and any suggestions but i can only afford to spend 100.00 dollars per tire and would rather purchase something from a local dealer, keep the cash in my general area. the capitals are from one of my customers and i kinda feel that since he spent and spends with me monthly that it would just be a common courtesy to spend with him. but am am open on that aspect.
You know, half the problem was ford.
People would bring there exploders back to the dealership and complain about road noise then ford would tell them to run there tires at 22psi.
True stuff.
I have no idea what ford was thinking.
firestone tires suck. have had them on four of my five brnco's a mustang 11 a gran torino and a pinto and they all were changed for goodyears and on my current bronco has dunlaps. 32's. look up the history of firestones they are a **** tire on any ford.
