I also have 'true duals' and i'd swear that it also adds some power by helping it breath. and it's lighter too. mine's not too loud, but it sure has a nice rumble to it
hey rebel, glad to hear u like it. i have a friend who has a 94 f150 with a 302...true duals, no cats, and 17" glasspacks. that thing is really loud, mostly because the packing in the glasspacks is all blow'n out, so it basically has straight pipes. as for everybody talking about prices, a different friend had true duals put on a 88 Lincoln Mark VII...he had true duals, thru FM 40 series, out thru 3" tips. it was only $183, but thats not including the mufflers, which he got off ebay.
hmm i probably should have went true duals instead but oh well my cat back system will do for now. heck if i had known i could get it done for the same price i woulda done it.
On my 94F1504x4 (302) I have JBA shorty headers with custom duals--Dynomax hi-flo cats connected to Flowtech Terminator mufflers. the pipes go straight from the headers to the rear bumper. I had it done in 1996 and its finally in need of replacement-2004. Not a bad investment.
