Doesn't bother me one way or the other. I think people over concerned with it are retentive personally.
Then put me in that catagory.
I pay big money for my equipment and will keep it nice for as long as possible. Would you let someone slam the door on your house everytime they come and go.
Man, I can't stand when people slam my doors. And they don't listen. I must've told my ex-girlfriend at least 20 times not to slam it. She would be nice to it for about a eeek, then BLAM, right back at it. Even some of my friends do it. I remember slamming my dad's truck door when I was a kid, and I got ripped every time. I didn't think it was that big of a deal, but now I can't stand it. It's usually smaller built people that do it, too.
I hate it when ppl slam my doors as well. Usually when they do that, after telling them not to, i slam theirs next time im in their ride. As far as preventing women from slamming it, open and close the door for them. When they say 'aw your sweet' look at em and tell them 'nope just tired of u slamming my door'. If someone slams a house door, well then u can cure them like my parents cured me when i was little. They made me open and close the door softly until their arms got tired, lol. That stopped me from slamming any door even the car door, lol.
Andy, all the ne trucks have tehm, even my 150, from what I understand that is one of the ways they fixed the door crack problem of the 97/98 models, seems the cabs where so air tight that it would crack the door over time with the air pressure.
i hate that, people always seem to slam my door and its so loud when they do that on my 78. Its either that or they halfway close it. People just dont know how to work these dors right. The reason i now need new panels is because somebody was closing the door from inside and ripped the arm rest right off. Im going to drill a handle into the metal part between the panel and the window when i finally get new panels.
