e4od issue
I am new to this forum and I am looking for help with a tranny problem. I have a '97f-250 with a PSD and a messed up E4OD.
Lately while driving around the truck will not stay in overdrive.
The tranny will shift up through 1st and 2nd fine but when it
reaches OD it shifts back to 3rd almost instantly. I went to my
local Diesel mechanic who scanned the computer which was clean and did not show any codes. I think this is an electrical issue because sometimes the truck runs fine. Any info would be appreciated. thanks, Slomer

usually with an electrical problem, comes the blinking o/d light, and there would be a code in the computer. I would trying changing the fluid and filter, and then get some cleaner to put in it. Make sure to use Dexron 5, atleast our 2000 diesel required that.
