Just had a fabtech 5.5 lift installed and noticed three things.
1) above 80 I get a hum/vibration so I ordered the carrier bearing shim kit, this should take care of some of it.
2) this just started happening, when I turn right at very slow speeds I get a whining sound. Only while moving slowly and turning right? any thoughts?
3) If I am giving the truck some throttle and let off abrubtly I hear a little wobble sound? Its not bad but I can faintly hear it. Most other people cant unless I make them listen for it... any thoughts?

more than my stock tires did.... they have a slight hum(speaking of hums thats another way to get rid of the whining sounds from the passenger side, the technical term is road @#$% ).
we'll see when I get the shims, hopefully that will answer my needs...
I guess thats why I no longer have someone to my right, but that cured the whining noise.
Back to ford to fitty's problem, I would first make sure the front driveshaft and axleshafts are not turning that way you can isolate the problem. If they are not turning, then all it can be is the bearings or possibly the pads rubbing on the rotors. Also, could it be the power steering box? I've had fords that do that, especially when you turn the wheel and you are not moving. And lastly, since a lift kit was installed, the brakelines/hub vacuumn lines/and ABS lines had to be stretched/rerouted to reach, so make sure they are'nt tochin nuthin when you crank the wheel all the way left and right.

I will check all hoses and line. It kind of sounds like its the power steering box but it only happens when moving and turning wheel to right..... weird?
I get a thumpity-thump noise when cranking the wheel hard left only, but that is from the tire rubbing the frame. I need to put it on jack stands and figure out why it only does it that way and how to make adjustable steering stops. Maybe drill and tap the stop for a bolt?
I have drilled and tapped and used a grade 8 hex head screw. As for it hitting one way and not the other, mine does the same thing. I think it is because the stop on one of the knuckles is smaller than the other.
What size did you use, 1/4 20, 3/8 16, bigger? I usually do everything three times and would like to get something done right on the first try for once.
Thanks
