Would you get into bed with a ***** with herpes, even if she said it wasnt contagious ? If not, then why would you buy a new Ford diesel ?? We have owned over 12 Ford diesel trucks, and while some were not perfect, we only had one 7.3 that blew injectors. The 6.0 litre just blows period. It is an amazing engine if only it ran for more than a few miles at a time. It is an absolute nightmare, and now we arent even getting out warranty covered anymore. It is easily the worst investment our company has made and the truck has already lost several thousand dollars in down time. Every new dealership we take it to claims to have fixed something, but it still wont start. We had to buy a
2004 Dodge because we could not own such an unrelible truck. It is hands down the worst engine ever produced on the market. Dont believe that they have been fixed. Ours had a new engine at about 3000 miles and several injectors changed since. Ford doesnt stand behind there warranty..Its a joke. Dont believe their lies. What do you think they will tell you, that they are still garbage ? Im sure some dont have all the bugs, but a ridiculasouly large majority do. Just go to any dealership and look at them lined up. If anyone knows of the number to try to get a recall, please let us know...we are already used to being put on hold for several hours and not getting any answers.
I had a 98 dodge 2500 (non diesel) with only 30,000 miles. I have to say it is because of that truck that I did not buy another Dodge. That truck had more problems and was in the shop more times than you can imagine. From severe vibrations in the drive line/chassis to brakes to air/water leakes etc etc.
Buddy has a cummins...Not happy with the power, he is looking at the Ford and Chevy..
The moral of the story is..You can always get a lemon. I think I had one in the Dodge..You had one in the Ford
Now the customer service issue that is another story. Unfortunate, to say the least.

Hehehe..I want to see the look on his face when that Dodge tranny takes a crap. Granted, every vehicle has it's faults and idiosynchrasies (sp?). Fords couldn't have been that bad if he bought 12 of them. Hell, one of my most favorite work trucks was an old Ford F350 with a 6.9L diesel. That thing would PULL!!
You want pics of our trucks ?? Dodge is louder, not as nice interior and is ridiculously expensive when you have to fix them. But at least the Cummins is a reliable engine. If you think I work for Chrysler, then why dont you buy our F350 smart *** ?? well gladly sell it to you.

say you are really good at making friends and influencing people aren't you?
We have a 6.0 that works its butt off every day. We did get a flash update, but not because the truck wasn't performing, it was in for routine mainenance. The truck as 12,000 trouble free miles on it right now.
My 94 7.3 PSD has 375,000 miles on it and still runs strong. I'll update you in a few years when the 6.0 gets close to those numbers. Because it will.
And for what it's worth, "Ford Quality Ha Ha Ha" is obviously not someone here that we should take seriously. No gallery, 3 total posts, nothing. Obviously someone with a little spare time on their hands and wanted to stir things up. Some people are just easily amused.
Outwest, you are definately right. Like I said, out of our 11 7.3l we did have one lemon. But this is a lot more than a freak defect. Why would Ford be buying back so many trucks if it was a freak minor defect ? Why was the new engine they replaced just as big a heap of garbage as the old one ? We really did not want to buy another Dodge, but Ford
left us no choice. Fell On Road Dead. In the few
trips it actaully made, it would blow the goddman doors off the Dodge. I hope you guys buying these dont actaully haul with them. Its ok to get a loaf of bread and a carton of milk if you let it idle for a good hour before you use it. Damn expensive passenger vehicle.
Hey , Im not out to say all fords are junk, just the 6.0 power joke. The big three better all get their act together before truck sales are dominated by japanses makers too.
Rather than be a Ford basher, why don't you sing Dodge's praises at a Dodge forum? Most people here really love our Ford trucks, I suspect, and surely don't deserve to be called names such as "smartass" because they express opinions that the Dodge most likely has a common set of problems of its own, such as a chronically weak tranny. There are not many perfect trucks. I think all of the top 3 American made trucks have their own strengths and weaknesses. Same goes with different models and manufacture years. I think maybe an apology is in order from you to 68ford..........
