I now have a flat-top. In boot camp I had a bullet-head look and pitched my comb.
Now low maintenance is the way to go. In winter I wish my darn ears weren't so big though.
I have kept my hair long(as in halfway down my back) forever. I figure that since most of the girls kept cutting all their hair off I could at least run my own fingers thru my hair if they didn't have any. Plus my Dad started to go bald at an early age so I am going to have as much as I can while I can. I think I owe my full hair to eating peanut butter (really!).
mines getting long-almost to the tip of my nose, almost time to shave it again
when I was younger I had it almost to my waist.
then dreadlocked it for a while
now I usually just let it go awhile then shave it 2 or three times a year
Short is in, Long is out, Personal preference is short but not a buzz or anything like a flat top etc. Just short and easy to care for. It's makes a better business appearance and long hair (over ears or collar) still offends some people. Did you know that facial hair according to studies can cost you up to 10% of your business ??
As a young man I wore my hair long, saved alot of money not cutting it. Now I give out $15.00 every two weeks to my local Barbershop.
greasy hands and long hair don't go together anyway.
It probably won't surprise you to hear that I enjoy the best of both worlds.
I'm bald as a bowling ball on top. But the sides and back make it down easily to the middle of my back.
I work every day (when I work) in a "professional environment". So as you can probably guess; I wear my hair this way to make a political statement.
FWIW - every few years I get the proverbial wild hair and cut it all off - 100% high and tight. But that seems to do something to my mental state. Seriously. I find myself acting as would be appropriate with the high and tight (from my past life(s)).
...Long hair, bout the middle of my back...Its a race between the size of bald spot at the back of my head and the length, when the bald spot looks like a comb over then the whole thing gets buzzed
