Cool

I would buy a set of either Autolite or Motorcraft plugs, and possibly Motorcraft wires as well or a name brand that is NOT sold at the discount chains.

I'd go with autolites, I wouldn't get the platnum plugs either. Stay away from Bosche also.

Just did it on my '95.

I bought Autolites - same maker as Motorcraft they looked identical. Gaped them at .045 my wire gapping tool didn't have .044 which is what the book says.

You should also get new wires, cap and rotor - all Motorcraft, and buy a tube or packet of die-electric grease to put in the boots and on the cap terminals.

A couple of my wires didn't come off the plugs in one piece. It would have been bad if I didn't have the new wires.

My plugs were worn to .075 to .085 gap at 80K miles. The truck idled much smoother after I changed them and cleaned the IAC valve.

Let us know what your plugs were worn to.
