Hi,
I'm converting my density EFI to SEFI and i'm using a 89 mustang computer. i have a 89 f-150 and as you know it has the twin throttle body. i have a chance to get a mass air sensor and y-tube out of a 95 f-150. my question is, does the MAF sensor out of the 95 f-150 put out the same readings as the 89 mustang one?
Cause i would like to use the air box and y-tube out of the 95 f-150 if i could.
I think as long as the calibration of the meter matches your injectors, you should be ok. If not, Pro-M makes stock replacement mass air meters that are calibrated for your individual application. Check out this website, it will help with the swap: http://brembs.net/cars/maf_conversion/
The difference between the stock computer and the mustang computer is very surprising. Hope you get everything working - be sure to make your wiring harness match the mustang computer's inputs/outputs.
