have put downpayment on 04 eddie bauer expedition.
ordered dvd, nav, limited slip, power 3rd row seat, air suspension, heated/cooled seats, tow package, moon roof. comments... good or bad experiences with these options. has brake dust problem been solved? can i choose another tire than conti? has limited slip been fixed? any other issues before i take delivery?
Even with the problems I'd still keep the LSD .. If it were me I'd drop the nav system and buy 10x the system for the same price aftermarket.. That's just me though, lots of people appreciate factory options more than aftermarket.
Before you take delivery check the build date. Only Ex & Nav built after 1EC03 will have new pads. Ford has the new pads avail for replacement but they are NOT covered by warranty according to TSM #04-1-1
Before you drive one mile in your new Expy, talk to your dealer about trading in the Contis for a nice set of FIVE Michelin CrossTerrains. More than a few new Expy owners have moaned about vibration/balance problems with Contis.
Ford loves to put a crappy tire on a vehicle, don't they?
