Does anyone truely believe that she can win the office in 2008?

Imagine this political ad:
"As Co-president from 1992-2000, she couldn't keep her husband under control; how can you expect her to keep terrorists under control?"
The only way I see her pulling it off is if she can corral the female vote in great numbers.
Wouldn't it be interesting if she ran against Cole Powell. We'd have either our first black pres. or our first women pres.

Sure
I don't think that either of the major parties is willing to nominate a black women yet.
I'm not suggesting that it's right or that she is not worthy, just that I don't believe that either party is willing to give her the nomination.

Okay, turn the clock back to 1988, just 15 years ago. Over a couple beers, I tell you that a flamboyant professional wrestler will be elected governor of a midwestern state, and a bodybuilder from Austria will be elected governor of the most-populated state in the nation.
You immediately remove the beer from my hand and sign me up for the next AA meeting.
My point? ANYTHING'S POSSIBLE!! If anyone here thinks they can accurately predict what the populace of this country will do in the voting booth is kidding themselves.

I don't think it's a matter of sticking a neck out. What has Rice done to distinguish herself as presidential material?

I'm hoping she runs in 2008. It would be a massacre.

1965,
There is an ENORMOUS diffrence between the Governers office and the White House. Granted there are strange things happening around us every day but I stick by my statement. There is noway either of the national parties are going to nominate a black woman to run for President when history shows only white men win votes.
BTW, both of the outragous examples you posted were white males.
I appologize for nothing but my spelling.

Billsco,
She has served the president well. She has a firm grasp of the values she deems important and she has choosen polotics as a career. What maore does she need?
Has Al Sharpton done anything to distingush himself as presidential material? He's running.

Jsku,
I tend to disagree. The country has been moving steadliy to the right since Clinton took office. Clinton can thank Perot for getting elected twice. Dems came out in 2000, but not enough to put Gore in office. I think Hillary can win the nomination in 2008, don't think she can win the office. Unless they split the vote again.
