I have three more pairs, 2 pair off 302's & they wouldn't match the frame holes & I tried a pair off a 79 400 BB but they were to tall
so I just put the 460's back in & used them. Be aware that if you go to take a set off a 90 or newer truck getting the rivits out & the mounts off is a lot of hard work.

Thats probably b/c the 460 was using L&L rubber mounts, which bolt onto the 302 pads. F-150s have never came stock with 460s.

I never said it came stock with the 460, thats just was in it when I got it.
As to what the rubber mounts were I don't know as they went with the engine when the guy came & picked it up in a hurry. The mounts I'm using now came out of the 1988 Crown Vic Wagon that I pulled the engine out of.

I know.. I was just stating that incase the other guys thought that all motor mounts were the same (which I don't think they are).

greg, i dont know if a 91 is different from a 86 but on my truck i tried both stands from ford,if i remember correctly the only difference was the location of the holes for the mounts.yet the 460 stands were more expensive.on my truck i had to set the motor 1" higher for oil pan clearance so i slotted two pieces of channel iron and welded them to the top of the stands.so for me it didnt matter which stands i had .i then used the L&L mounts to go between the stands and the motor. good luck!
