vacuum line disconnected

vacuum line disconnected

4wd won't engage. I found the vacuum line disconnected, but I can't find where it disconnected from. Can soneone please tell me where it connects.

What year is your truck? Were did you find a disconnected vacuum line?

96 Ranger - the line is connected to the front differential but the other end is connected to nothing.

I have never checked out a RANGER system specifically. But, I could hazard a guess. Most vacuum controlled 4WD switching systems have ... uh ... SWITCHES ... duh! (feeble attempt at levity). If the end that you found CONNECTED is on your front dif, then the other end MIGHT go to a nipple on the transfer case??? Or, of you locate a "bundle" of vacuum lines, look at them very closely. One of them might have a "bare nipple", which is where your loose line is supposed to go???

Hey "sysco", have you had any luck?? Where I am, it's snowing like a !@#$%^&*()_+. Where are you?? Is it snowing?? If yes, I hope you found out where that vacuum line is supposed to be.
