Good morning Jim and Jay! We had some bad storms here last week Jim and our pontoon that was in the lift flipped over in the lift and floated around the lake until it beached itself. We did get it flipped over but did not go well. For some reason it just would not flip over and once we did get it flipped I think the reason why it wouldn't flip was the lift was tweaked too bad. Right now the pontoon is flipped over and still in the lift but it is partially on shore yet. Lift is junk. We still need to figure out how to get the pontoon out of lift as it's sitting on shore currently. Ugh.....what a mess.
That must have been one intense storm. Winds like 60mph or higher? Any of that covered by insurance? Pontoon engine junk now or other damage to the pontoon? I'm sure you'll get it figured out.
Good morning Jay and MN. Have a thongtastic thirsty Thursday. Getting some liquid sunshine here
Good morning Jay!

It was more wind then rain this time. Way higher then 60. Wind was clocked south of where we live right at about 100 mph. Right down the road from where are pontoon was a train was blown over. Multiple train cars own over. No insurance. We only paid 1000 bucks for the pontoon back when we bought it. Lift wasn't much more. I think the pontoon is fine as of now. Still need to get refloated with no damage. Motor should be fine. It's been swamped before.

That is crazy high wind. Especially to blow over a train. Must have been a bunch of tractor trailers blown over also. Forests must be a mess. How out of the ordinary is it for these high speed winds?
Hopefully the boat is still good.
Good morning MN. Have a fantastic Friday. Had a pretty strong thunderstorm squall line move through yesterday afternoon. Looks like there was a tornado in Woodstock Vermont. Pretty rare for a tornado in Vermont, but we did have a small one in mid April in Williamstown Vermont and I think one last year in Washington Vermont (town next to mine).

Not too many forests around us. Mostly open farm land. Definitely some trees down. Not normal but like Jay said, not unheard of either.

Good morning Jim! Definitely don't hear of tornadoes in VT too often.
