I've seen a few comments about replacing the fixed hub on the passenger side but can't seem to find them. I want to change it out and thought there may be a "kit" for it, or do we just buy the components? My parts guy at Ford didn't even have a clue what I was talking about. Seems the people on the forums know so much more than the parts guys.
According to other posts on here, you should be able to get that wicked fubar snafu fixed for free but I guess you need to talk to the service manager? Do you have a 2025 & original owner?
“Ford installed them for free to those with pre 2025's who complained, but yes, it was a silly move.“
You should be able to reference the SSM when talking to your dealer's service department. In the event they refuse, try a different dealer. The components required change based on the truck's build date - some still had the full vacuum line present, some had a partial vac line run, and some needed both vac line parts. The thread I linked includes part numbers.
I bought my 2024 used and when they had me come in for the "trailer disconnected" software patch, I complained about the dummy hub. They said "No Problem" and they swapped it out. I had to go back a second time though so they could add the missing vacuum lines.

Good luck.
I didn't think to ask when I did my trailer issue. BUT they said the trailer was updated , took it back 2 times, still not fixed. They blamed an aftermarket plug the previous owner put on.

if you want any reliability just get the after market warns. we been swapping our fleet trucks with them as thats the only way to ensure theyll work when you need them
I had mine replaced under the previously mentioned tsb/ssm? I complained about a clunking in the front end, turns out it was the steering shaft. But, they initially replaced the passenger hub, maybe complain about a faint clunk in the front end and hope they misdiagnose it?
