Initial timing - 10* BTDC?

HI fellas

Figured I'd start a new thread (this is a continuation of "fresh build no spark on cyl 6")
I now have dizzy rebuilt and wired and am going to stab it in. I'm thinking 10 degrees before TDC on cyl 1 is a reasonable starting alignment correct? Now that I've got the other bugs sorted out I don't want to crank this motor long and looking for the best starting point before going to timing light.

Thanks for your thoughts

That should be fine for a starting point.

I think I had to advance to 12-14* before mine would fire up. 10* should be you starting point. make sure you have enough play in your distrubitor cap to advance it.
