Hey! New to forums here. I’m looking for help with Sync3. Everything I read online Apple CarPlay and apps should work on mine, but it never has. What am I missing or not understanding?
I have a 2015, so an earlier version of Sync. It works as expected, which is not like newer vehicles (say 2021+).
What kind of problems are you having?
Hope I am replying correctly. Technically I am not having any issues as far as I can tell. There are options to find apps and such on the screen but nothing has ever popped up. Phone and music work fine through Bluetooth and USB but I keep reading on line that “SYNC3” should support car play and such. I guess I should have been more inquisitive when it was still under warranty.
You likely need an actual apple cord, plugged into one of the USB ports on the dash. If you bought the truck used, see how many other devices are sync'd to it, and delete them. You can also do the same to yours, then re sync it.
