Driver side window not rolling down correctly
The driver-side window on my 1977 F-250 regular cab isn’t rolling down smoothly. It feels like it’s catching or binding on something when I try to lower it.
Has anyone else run into this issue, or know what I should check first? Its a manual roll down, not electric.
Happy to provide more details or photos if helpful.
Thanks!
Extra detail:
The window does move, but it feels like the glass is catching or binding as it rolls down. I haven’t removed the door panel yet, but I’m wondering if this is commonly caused by the window run channel/weatherstrip, regulator rollers, or glass alignment.
Any tips on what to inspect first would be appreciated.
I bet either the division bar gasket or the gasket on the very back of the window is worn out and chunking and catching the glass. Or the regulator is in dire need of lubriciation or grease.
As far as seals I like Jeffs bronco graveyard. https://shop.broncograveyard.com/Wea.../products/539/
A complete kit. https://shop.broncograveyard.com/197...uctinfo/26065/
If the vent wing seals are fine, then check this out. https://shop.broncograveyard.com/197...uctinfo/26033/
Electric windows on a 73-79 Ford truck was not a Factory or even a dealership aftermarket- option way back then. You can change alot of them seal with out even removing the glass all the way. Taking the nut (45336-S) off the stud on the bottom fo the division bar help get you some wiggle room.
