What are you using to repair/replace red backing on these Ford Grill Emblems?
I have mine apart and need to decided what to use for the backing (red). The old faded/decaded red paint came off pretty easy and left the chrome untouched. I'm leaning toward find some Red Foil as a backing vs painting.
Ford Ranger Grill Emblem apart, red backing removed.
Are you looking for originality? Not sure how you'd match the color. If, however, originality doesn't matter, I'd color it to match the theme of the truck. Maybe match the under hood color scheme?
The original color was a bright reflective red. The reason I was thinking of red foil used in craft works. They make a reproduction emblem but they (DC) want $55 for that little piece of plastic.
