Basic questions first. What do you plan on using the truck for: a street cruiser, or as a work truck, pulling heavy trailers? What engine do you have now which can dictate trans choice? Did you want to get rid of the 3 speed, or convert to a floor shift? Did you want a manual 4/5/6 speed manual trans, or a floor shifted automatic? Did you want a car type trans with a high first gear? Or did you need a truck trans with a low first gear?
