My 2009 E-250 (120K, 5.4L) has started banging harshly in the right rear when hitting a pothole. I don't see any spring damage. I'm thinking it needs shocks. The shocks on there look like the originals.
Anyone have ideas about anything else to check?
It's a work truck that carries a lot of tools so I'm looking at Monroe Gas-Magnums since RockAuto lists them in the "Heavy-Duty" category.
Bilstein are probably best but pricey. Worth it IMO if you plan on keeping the van. Last set of Monroe "heavy duty" I put on front of E150 were dead in a year. RA warrantied them but I replaced with Bilstein. What I should have gone with to begin with.
