I am going to install some new take offs on my 25 F350 XL 6.8 GAS. The take offs have the tpms in them. Can I use the Ford built in programming tool or must I use a tool (forscan)
When I switch mine over, they automatically register in the system. No programming necessary. I did the same and bought a set of takeoffs with sensors included. YMMV
If the takeoffs are from a '23 and newer SD (433MHz), you should only need to mount the wheels on the truck and drive it 5-10 miles. They're programmed sensors that the truck should recognize them with no other input from you.

Fantastic! Can't be easier than that. I'll let the thread know if it works.
Put the new take offs on, went around the block (less than a mile) to test them, noticed the TPMS system had already picked up the new TPMS. Can not be easier.
Yeah the truck will auto-program after you drive it a bit. For the record, I used that remote on my 2024 and it worked fine. Furthermore, you can let air out of the tires while in programming mode and it'll also work.
