So occasionally my fan rubs against the shroud in my truck. I tried adjusting the shroud, but cannot get it far enough out of the way. So I started looking at the engine mount rubbers, thinking one was bad. This is what I found.
Can someone help me with the correct orientation of the rubber bushings for the rear engine mounts at the transmission on my four speed. I’m sure someone has for lack of better term “cooter bobbed” the mounts.
Looking at it, I would think the rubber goes between the channel on the transmission and the frame support. However, the tab on the bushing to wire lock the bolt has me puzzled.
So my assumption is the rubber(which has a metal plate attached) goes on top of the frame support. But there is a tab on the metal plate on the rubber to wire off the bolt.
Is there a hole in the frame support for this tab to stick thru?
