Climate control 'bug?'
Hey y'all, I've noticed a number of times when a temperature was selected that the air blowing never matches what I set. Today I set the air temp to about 65 and very warm air kept blowing out of the vents. Waited a bit thinking "oh, the truck has been sitting in the warm sun all day" but the air kept blowing very warm.
It felt like I'd set the defrost to max, it was that warm.
Looking at the climate controls on the console and the LCD display, neither were lit up and showing on.
I pushed the defrost button and immediately the air turned cool and worked as expected.
Anyone else notice this kind of odd behavior?

Depends on outside air temp as well as inside. Plenty of times my cab has been just fine, but with the temp set at 70 it turns the AC on and blows ice cold...So I have to turn the AC off and manually tell it what I want.
It also likes to turn off the defrosters on mornings when I could still really use them, because it's humid and about 45°...so I have to turn them on manually.
The Auto setting is good for about 75% of my time driving, so temps below 35 or above 70/75. The rest of the time I have to go manual. It has been that way in both my Rams and this new truck, as well as our Bronco, so I am guessing it is completely normal. I don't drive her Expedition enough to know what it tends to do.
