After 20 some years the drivers side latch assembly isn’t working on my 51 F1. I’ve found some older threads but wonder if anyone knows of a source for these that works with the outside lock.
I believe you are looking for Ford Part 1C-8121819-A. It is not an easy part to find. There may be a member here who has a stash, or you can check with Chuck at Churcks Truck LLC and his ever evolving inventory of serviceable salvaged parts. It wouldn't be unheard of to find and purchase a complete door or an entire parts truck that just happens to have the lock assembly...
Has anyone thought of welding an attachment to the bottom. Most of the parts from the Passenger door lock can be used. will need to also create a cover/cap for the locking components. I do have a AutoCad dwg that I created years ago for the Drivers side door lock, just need to find it.
The one that is a folded piece of metal is what I started to work with years ago. The bottom left rusty one came from a 1940 Ford passenger car.
