adding an overhead console
so i have an 04 f150 heritage so basicly the 03 style and im wanting to add an overhead console but im wondering what it would take to install it and have the oem features like the air temp and compass

You’d need the frame and headliner, the console should have the wiring harness to plug in wherever it ends up going to. Temp sensor I believe goes behind the grille. I reckon that harness will be present. Maybe not? My XL Sport has the XL Convenience Package that includes the console, so it had the whole shebang from the factory.

I was having problems with mine so I did a Pin Out on it, results below. The ones I had nothing on, as I understand it was MPG, and Miles to Empty on some Trucks.
F-150 Overhead Console;
1 through 6 Compass and Temperature
1.) White/Blue Hot in Run
2.) Black/Blue Ground
3.) Grey/Black Compass Signal, Flux Gate
4.) Blue/Red. Compass Signal, Flux Gate
5.) Blue/Red Ambient Temperature Sensor, Signal
6.) Red/Black Ambient Temperature Sensor
7.) Blue/Black Powered When Door is Open.
8.) Green/White Always Powered
9.) Black Ground
10.) Brown/Orange Nothing
11.) White/Red Nothing
12.) Tan/Red Nothing
