My truck had the same. I just replaced it with some other foam I had laying around.

I thought so too.

I saw this in my buddy's 72 we rebuilt. Very coincidental?

The new one will have to be just a cut up piece of foam since no one has it... cleaned the trans today.

Not just a foam pad but should also be a support plate, too.

They did vary some but yours looks like it's generally round in shape. Some combinations came with a more rectangle or square shaped plate and foam. Just designed to keep weather out. Rudimentary but it helped.

1" thick probably not really enough so might need two of those for one of these Ford trucks. Looks like a possible solution though.

I should make some of these - easy to cut out with the 12" foam rubber saw.

Let us know what you think when you get them. Looks like a bit firmer foam which couldn't hurt.

I've been thinking about changing my name to Justin Case.

C0TB-8112130-A - PAD - TRANSMISSION COVER WEATHER - (foam) - 2" I.D. x 7" O.D. x 2" thick
