Tire woes

I have a 2001 Four Winds Fun Mover on a E-450 chassis. I can't have more than three years with a set of tires - it just goes through them like popcorn. Is there a tire in the 225/75 R 16 size that would work on this rig? I acknowledge that the unit is probably overloaded on a trip - I usually take two full-size motorcycles and all the other stuff I need, but still, I think (hope) that there is a tire that would hold up better.

What make/model/size tires have you used so far?

Have you ever weighed it to find out where the potential overloading issue stands?

I have been running Goodyear Wrangler HT tires with a load rating of 115. I understand that there are tires in that size 225/75 -16 that are somewhat higher. But are there tire/wheel combinations that are approved for that chassis that can carry a heavier load?

I think every tire in that size is rated for 2,679 or 2,680 pounds (or 2,469 dual)

What pressure are you running them at?

Have you weighed the motorhome?

What do you mean by "goes through them like popcorn"? Wears them out? Blows them out? Loses tread? Etc.?

How many miles does it take for it to go through them like popcorn?

Changing to a taller rim or different size tire probably isn't a good idea, and probably won't gain you much . . . unless you change to 17.5" wheels and tires. If you can find the right rims to do this, you'll probably see great improvements to tire life. It is so expensive though. Might not ever pay for itself.
