Watched it go from $3.39 to $4.89 in about 5 days. Hadn’t been to town today to see. Expecting over $5 on the interstate soon. I-75 in South GA. It usually a little less further off the Interstate. It’s a racket.
Two things - the President has ZERO to do with fuel prices. You can place the blame for the massive cost swings solely where it belongs - speculators and futures - via the stock market. Throw in some corporate greed / profiteering and you get what we have now, again and again.
Number two - you guys that drive thousands of miles every year are crazy to not have a TSD Logistics fuel account. It is unreal how much money I have saved on diesel over the years. Another benefit is you get to use the big truck pumps at truck stops, which fill my 60 gallon tank way faster than an automotive diesel pump can fill it. They changed the name of the program to Open Roads, but it is through TSD Logistics. You get a card that works right at the pump, you can buy DEF at the same pump, etc. You don't have to go inside or anything else, so you don't aggravate the big rig drivers. There is an app you can install on your phone to find stations and see their diesel prices, and see your purchase history. You don't have to use the app to use the account or card.
For example - on 2/20/2026, I filled up for a trip to Florida. The pump price was $199.00 for 51.7 gallons of diesel. The TSD price charged to me was $167.72 - an instant savings of $31.28, right at the pump.
The other day I was driving around a traffic circle nearby a Marathon fuel station. I noted the price of diesel on Marathon's giant digital sign when I entered into the traffic circle, and by the time I exited the traffic circle, the price had jumped 20 cents a gallon!
The next day, I was coming up to a traffic light at an intersection, saw a Shell station on the corner. As I always, I noted the price of diesel. By the time the light turned green, the price had jumped up 10 cents a gallon!
The astonishing pace of such a substantial increase of a necessary and unrecoverable expense is an earthquake to the financial foundations of everyone. And this top of mind frustration is understandable, as reflected in a number of posts reported for politics.
Yet since Internet Brands, our host, discourages the discussion of politics on our truck forum, let's keep the conversation limited to the topic of fuel prices, as the thread title suggests.
He started the war. There has to be some profit in it for him and his billionaire friends, probably invested in oil companies.
And, it is very different than a holiday hike, the price never went up by over a dollar a gallon in a week during any holiday time.
And, this is just the beginning, going to get freaking outrageously expensive very quickly.
If you actually believe this nonsense, you should have invested heavily in oil stocks and make a handsome profit. Back during the beginnings of covid, chevron stock was down to 50bucks-ish. I bought tons of it. Now its what, 190 a share. You improvise adapt and overcome, or you work till you die.
47 years of death to America and death to Israel and countless dead. Only a matter of time before they developed nuclear weapons and used them, themselves or gave them to there proxies to use.
Yeah, Iran has been 2 weeks away from having nukes for about 20 years now.
The Iran and Vz thing was mostly about china. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.
Its also why the Greenland BS happened. Proactive competition with china. Im certain canada will choose to do something stupid soon.
We dont get jack in oil from any of those countries. So when the market stops being retarded, prices will drop. But not in CA.
Canada is the largest foreign supplier of crude oil to the U.S., providing roughly 60% of total U.S. crude imports, or over 4 million barrels per day as of 2024-2025. Over 95% of Canada's crude oil exports are shipped to the U.S

Without Canada, the USA wouldn't move.
Without any other countries we would just pump more of our own, we don't need oil from any of them, we just buy theirs so ours is just sitting here for when we don't want to play their games or bomb them into oblivion, we can drill through glass and melted steel / concrete et al with no issues.
