My 04 Heritage 4.2L had a reman power steering pump installed by the Previous Owner. I've had the truck 6 years and as long as I've had it it works fine when cold or when moving. After it warms up sitting at a standstill and turning the wheel it doesn't hardly assist and whines. Start moving and the whine quits and it steers fine. Thinking about replacing the pump. Who makes a pump that's worth a hoot? Seems like whining and noise is a common complaint in a lot of reviews. I personally have heard recently of someone getting 2 pumps from Napa that wouldn't move any oil right out of the box.
