Swapping motors

I have a 1990 f150 and I love her. Only problem, just fried my motor! I found an ole boy who has 1981 f100 with 302 just like mine, or is it? Wondering if it will fit in mine. Mine has no efi, went eldebrock and holly 650, so I would think there would be no problem there. Also I would like to take off air compressor and smog, just want basic motor. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

it should bolt in just fine since you have already removed anything that would be a problem. As for the compressor and smog (i assume you mean air pump?) just unbolt and remove. Be sure that the AC is evacuated before removal.
