Wow Hank, that doesn't look good, I hope you heal up fast.
Scott, What year 6.7? My fuel filters on my my 2012 are also easy to do but the frame mount one the bottom just screws off. I have read that some have busted the housing while trying to remove it.

No news to report from the armpit of California. Plan now is to pick up the truck tomorrow morning and pay the whole bill. Then when the SJVV cuts a check for whatever amount they are willing to pay, I will give it to the muffler shop, and they will give me the cash refund.
FINALLY! Picked up the truck, paid the man, and drove a loop around the area. Took it to Red Carpet Car Wash for a smog test and it passed!
I am a happy camper.
that’s great news Jim , hopefully they got that bug worked out for good ,
33 deg this morning , with ice on the ground , yes it was a chilly morning to say the least but the sun came out and it warmed up slightly, currently 58 with wind @ 20 ish, so far no rain in the guess cast but that could change any minute, pine pollen is in full bloom, at least my sinus’s are telling me so.
have a great evening gents .
I don't know if that bug is worked out or not. It has not happened in a few weeks now, so hopefully it has. Since the truck ran fine when it did happen, I will not worry about it, I just didn't want all the warning lights coming on during the smog test. The truck should get better gas mileage, but honestly, I won't be able to check. No way I can afford to fill up the tank and then drive it for a few days and then fill it up again. Gas is way too expensive for that. I only put 2k miles on it a year anyway. Although now that it is "fixed" I may drive it more budget allowing of course.
Typing to myself. Another great day here in the armpit of California. Weatherwise it is great. Drove the truck to church and had no issues. Honestly, it is about time.
That’s good to hear Jim , finally, getting into a truck that will get you somewhere and back home is a good thing ,
I helped one of our young neighbor gal, build some wood games for a function she is putting together for some kids , I donated my wood and time for this , she was very ambitious to learn how I was going to put it all together, she took it back home to paint them , once that’s done I’ll help put the rest of it together and snap some pictures for y’all to see it ,
I think Rain is coming back tomorrow and it’s time to mow again .
