I guess my truck was jealous of me fixing the driver's side window regulator on my wife's 2016 Sienna and wanted some attention... so this morning while grabbing my coffee I went to open my door and the interior door handle actuated but then went limp. The door still works using the outside door handle but the interior one won't allow the door to close.
I am assuming the hc3z15221a01f Release Cable (item 15 below) kinked or failed in somehow.
Anyone replace one of these before? How much of a pain is it on the door lock side to reinstall. The door handle itself doesn't seem bad based on the arod video below:
Actually later in the same day, the door worked again.... and then of course froze on me this morning. This leads me to believe I have a frozen door latch. Sounds like the 2017's had an issue with them and it is hit or miss on other years. Given the snow earlier in the week and then the thaw and re-freeze this week.
