I went out to my truck to leave for lunch and unlocked it. Pulled the handle to open the door and it locked. Only pulled the door open about a half an inch. I hit the unluck on the remote again and it unlocked. Pulled the handle and it opened the door but locked it again. What the he!!? Any ideas?
Called the service manager at my local Ford and he had never heard of that.
Anyone in there working lately. The only thing I can think of is someone tried to break in and bent the lock rod to the point that its contacting the handle rod and everytime you pull the door open it forces the lock rod in the other direction, and pulls the locking mechanism down.
When I unlock the door it does unlock completely. As I pull the door handle slowly it slowly pulls down the lock indicator. If I do it slowly enough then the door opens fine, pull too fast and the lock catches the door before it will open.
