1995 F250 2 Door. Cannot get passenger door open. Can pull up lock in cab. Key will not go into outside lock. I was able to pull up on indoor handle but without results. Then that handle broke off. Loosened inside door panel and pulled away from door a little. Can't get it off because the door is closed. Rolled window down and can look down inside door a little but cannot get a good look at lock mechanism. Put stiff wire with hook and fished around without results..
I had already taken the window crank off. The broken door handle allowed me to maneuver the inside door panel out. I have acess to the back of the door latch. I've disconnected the outside door lock rod. The inside door lock rod seems to move ok up and down so does the outside door lock rod. I have access to the back side of the door latch. I still cannot get the door to unlatch. Is there a way from inside of the door to pry the latch open?
Maybe it's just binding, might try jacking one corner of the truck up to see if it will release. My thoughts are the hinges might be worn and the door out of alignment. Maybe just lifting up on the door when you pull the handle will help relieve the pressure on the latch..
