55 F100 engine identification
It was Blue Bell PA which is between Philly and Allentown. Both rear wheels were rusted frozen. We dragged it around farm with tractor to free up the wheels. I rewired it 12V neg gnd and did minor upkeep, but never spruced it up. It was my solo vehicle and was pretty reliable. I had it about 5 years and then bought new Ford Ranger, cause my girlfriend complained about riding in the 54. Didn't have place to store the 54 so had to sell it.
Did you marry the GF?
I know what you mean about selling things due to lack of storage space. I sold this 55 F350 for that reason.
I had a friend who's family was from PA. I mentioned to him I needed an old truck, and he told me his dad had a 54 F100 in a barn. That's all I needed to hear.
Never married the girlfriend, found a better one.
You got some nice trucks. I see that your side F350 emblems have some red in them, whereas my F100 emblems do not. I'm guessing the parts spent some time in solvent to remove rust and it took off paint. I think I'll put the red back on. I'm planning 4-wheel power disc brakes, and red calipers will match the red F100 emblems nicely.
