My shop guy is putting new cam bearings in my 52 EAB flat head and the bearings I bought are too small on the OD. I just brought a std set for a 239. They mic 1.92 but the block is 2.01. Did the EAB motor use a special? What part number do I need? Thanks
As you can see, Ford has 4 different sizes of each type of camshaft bearing, some that match your measurement of 2.010. You don't indicate all the dimensions, so I can't narrow it any further:
If you need the .080 oversize camshaft bearings, there are really two options: reuse your existing (a common practice), or find a similar sizes set from a 6 cylinder and machine it to length:
Story goes the .080 oversized cam bearings were the way the factory saved blocks that otherwise would have been scrapped. Unfortunately, supply of these bearings is not abundant because their use was not abundant.
I couldn't find new bearings. I reused the old ones but turned them 180 putting the better side down. Hope I still have decent oi pressure. If not I'll put a washer under the spring in the pump. Thanks to all.
I saw some posts over on Ford Barn about these bearings. Forum member barnfind08 from Southside Obsolete had them but you'd probable have to call to see if he has anymore. But as mentioned, it's a low load, well oiled bearing and often reused. Especially in this situation. Good luck with your build.

Thanks for the reply. I am going with what I have. Started out just getting cam bearings then found 3 cracks at the water jacket and had to install inserts, then bores had .005 taper so bored it .020 over and bought new pistons. Matched new pistons and rods for weight and aligned the rods. Polished the crank.002 under so will have to add tapered shims. I used to be able to get the shim kits but nobody offers them anymore. I found some from Deckwell though. Hope to get it together next week. Just finished checking out the wire harness I made with a turn signal circuit. All good.

Now that is interesting.
Like I said, I have no knowledge or experience with them. I came of age in the MUSCLE CAR ERA
