2024 SuperDuty 4X4
Just rejoined this forum...Now a proud owner of a 2024 250 SuperDuty...4X4...Lariat...Crew Cab...Off Road Package...Black Out Package...7.3...Short Bed...20"x9" alum. rims
My question is...Getting ready to do a 2 1/2" leveling kit....Carli kit was recommended by local shop....After the leveling kits is installed I am hoping to be able to increase the tire
size to 37"x 12.5" or 36"x11.5".....has anyone else gone this route....need to get the underside out of the sand....on the beach around 100 days a year surf fishing
Any input would be greatly appreciated....Thanks

Keep in mind that when comparing like sizes, metric sized tires will be lighter and have higher weight rating.
I ended up going with 295/65R20 tires which are 35 inch tall and 11.8 inch wide. My speedo is off by a few MPH but not enough for me to correct it. 37 inch tall tires will throw the speedo off significantly but can be corrected with Forscan software. I have 4:30 gears and can't say my gas mileage was affected at all.

Carli seems to be the only way to go on a brand new truck. I wouldn't mess with the cheap stuff on a new rig; unless you build your own kit or thoroughly research the kit. It's mainly to maintain proper suspension geometry (ie. caster/track bar), and also ride quality.
Texas is right about the tires. The 295/65/20 is a 35" tire and actually larger than a 35x12.5x20, but smaller width. Beyond a 35" I don't think you can get a metric tire size tho. You can fit a 35", and even 37's (with some rubbing), on stock height. So with the lift 37's should clear without issue. You can correct speedo with Forscan with 37's without an issue. Between 36" or 37", get 37's... the 37x12.50x20 is actually 36.5" and about 35" installed. I'm running 37x12.50x17 on another truck, and it's only about 1/2-1" taller (installed) than the 295/65/20 I have on the F350. Brand makes a difference also... I have MT Baja Legends (295/65/20) that spec at 35.4" according to manufacturer. Other tires in same size may be 35.1" or less.
Congrats on the new rig btw
