truck is a 2022 f250 6.7 with 85k deleted and tuned. Been getting p003a codes on cold start ups randomly for the last two weeks. used forscan and logged this
makes me think the Electronic side of the actuator is on its way out. runs and drives fine and log looks what I would think is normal after it's warmed up request/actual/and voltage all follow very close when warm.

Have no idea what your logs are showing there, might as well be chinese characters to me.
But, do you use the exhaust brake regularly?
Exhaust brake usage is a must for turbo actuator health, running the exhaust brake makes the VGT collar move through its full travel, helps keep the soot cleared from the mechanism so the actuator does not get jammed because the VGT collar won't move freely.
Don't know if this has anything to do with your trucks issue, you hear of very few turbo actuator issues on the 6.7.
so the red line is actual turbo actuator movement
Green line is PCM requested actuator movement
Blue line is open or closed loop
Purple line is turbo actuator voltage.
no I don't run the exhaust brake much. tho before this test a used forscan to sweep the turbo from 0% to 100% ten time and everything looks normal not seeing it hang up at all but the truck was warm and running then and the graph above are a cold start. if they were just hanging up I would think the purple and green lines would follow closely and only the red line would be off.

My truck is brand new, only 2000 miles on it and I'm having the same code. P003 The dealer changed my turbo actuator under warranty. Drove it 225 kms home. Started it up and the check engine and same code came back again. I've got a 8000 km trip planned for it next week....don't know if I should worry about it or not.
need to log it like above and see if the vanes are truly sticking or not, if they are and its brand new you'll be getting a new turbo. Since mines tuned and deleted I gave up my warranty i'll have to replace the actuator myself and see if that fixes it for me.
