Help!
My son jump started another vehicle with his 87 F150 (5.0L). He crossed the jumper cables and nearly melted the battery. Fixed battery but truck won't start. Engine turns over-fuel pump is pumping. Bt does not appear that fuel is getting to cylinders. Anyone with a thought, please advise.

 

I'd check the TFI module and the computer first off. Check all the fusible links and fuses as well. I'm not sure exactly what it could be, but hopefully this will get you started.
