So I am trying to convert my 1996 f350 cab and chassis to a single wheel with a 2007 rear axle. I need to know what angle the rear leafs need to be at so I can drill my holes and get the springs on the truck. I am using 2007 rear leafs also.
I know that the leafs are 58.25” long and I am using a front Hanger from a super duty. Has anyone done this before?
I couple comments if I might. #1 In the big picture consider the angle of the rear diff and driveline unless you want to use angle shims to possibly eliminate driveline vibes. Hard to say where the axle spring pads are on the 07 diff compared to the 96's configuration. #2 I have a 99 F250 4x4. I always questioned why the trac bar on a leaf sprung truck. After some mods and lots of reading I found the reason is the front shackles on the SD's are very flimsy and will flex or break if the trac bar is removed. You said hanger from a SD, so will only the wimpy shackles fit that hanger? IIRC on my 99 SD they are really wide on the frame end?? and narrow on the spring end or it might be the other way around, cant recall without looking.

I’m going to have to move the spring perches in due to the frame being narrower on the C&C, so that shouldn’t be an issue; I can get the diff angle correct with the spring perches. And I have both a superduty front hanger and an OBS one, so really I can use whatever one will work better, I just need to know if the leaf springs mount level or if they’re at an angle.
dang, wish I could recall in detail off my 97. These guys along with others sell kits to put later springs on a OBS f series. There is one pic, I cant seem to get it posted for some reason, that shows how they are OEM style. Slightly lower in front than in back. Pics Not much good ,but what the heck. https://www.skysoffroaddesign.com/pr...OjXAwCR0nLKX3l
