I have read that you can get about 1-1.5" drop by relocating the front hanger on the rear leaf spring by moving it upwards. I think the only time that you have to "flip" the hanger is if you use one of the mono-leaf springs. You can get additional drop (1.5-2") by using the extended shackles in the rear. Hopefully, someone who has done this will comment on the actual amount of drop.
I hope to do at least the first of these and maybe both to my truck this winter, along with a swaybar addition.

I just recently received (and installed) the extended shackles which I purchased from Sac-Vintage Ford. Included within the box was directions for exactly what is being asked/talked about here. Over the weekend, I'll type/scan them and put them in here.
...and yes, it is raising the front hanger for the rear springs, not the rear hanger. The extended shackles which go between the spring and the rear hanger are as much as you can go before your interferring with your bed floor.
