I working at a Honda dealership years ago and brake fluid flushes were part of the scheduled service every 30,000 miles.
The mechanics would attach a piece of vacuum hose over the bleeder and put the other end in a small container with 3-4 inches of brake fluid in it, open the bleeder and slowly pump the brake pedal with the reservoir cap on. It only drew fluid from the master cylinder and not from the container sitting on the floor.
They started with the RR wheel, closed the bleeder, checked the fluid level and then moved to the LR and repeated the steps for all 4 wheel cylinders.
They did it soo often they knew how many pumps it took to replenish the fluid in every wheel cylinder.
Well guys I may have had the ‘aha’ moment tonight. I found that I have brake fluid in my booster. So next step is to pop in a new master cylinder and hope the bleeding process finally goes as easily as it’s supposed to!
thanks for all the replies, much appreciate having the input.
Awesome thanks for that, was aware of the bench bleed procedure but didn’t know about the push rod adjustment. Glad you brought that to my attention.
QUOTE=77&79F250;21760243]Make sure you 100% understand and complete a proper "bench bleed" AKA locked in the vice bleed of the new master cylinder. BEFORE you install it.
I am not going to post a U tube video there are like a million of them.
