Is there a way to force the truck to remember which trailer was connected last? My '20 F-250 would always remember, but I can't find a way to force my '25 F-350 to do anything but revert to the "default trailer" whenever I hook up. I do get a menu popup to select a trailer, but if I forget to look over and select my saved trailer before I put it in gear, then it automatically reverts to the default and I have to dig through the menus to change it. Is there a FORScan fix for this?
How would that help? My only two entries are Airstream and Default, and it still chooses the default trailer.
That's exactly the problem I'm trying to solve. I think PH is saying if you rename the trailer to "1 Airstream" (i.e. putting a 1 in front of your desired name), then it will move it to the top of the list above the "default trailer?" I have not tried it yet, and maybe I misunderstood what he was saying.
Same annoyance here, I wonder if there is a way to tell the system that an actual trailer is the default trailer ?
edit
According to the owners manual pressing and holding the brake pedal after the trailer is connected is how the system recognizes the trailer. Since I will not be hooking up my trailer for about 6 weeks I won't be able to try till March.

They are in alphabetical order. Airstream is at the top of the list, but default trailer, at the bottom of the list, is still its go to choice.

This is because it cannot tell what trailer is attached just by the plug, it just knows it is a trailer with lights and brakes and maybe a charge circuit. It can't infer what trailer it is, it isn't that smart. You have to go in and tell it what trailer you hooked up to.
The purpose of the 'default trailer' is so that the truck can power the lights, brakes, and charge circuit without input from the driver, but things like BLIS will be impacted and likely just shut off. If you're just renting or borrowing a trailer for a day, there's no need to set it up if the chances of you using it again are nil.
I have 5 different trailers in mine, and have to tell it which trailer is attached. Depending on the day I might cycle through 2-4 of the trailers. I always have to go in and select which trailer it is, because I might not even be back in the cab before the 'select trailer' screen goes away.

That is exactly the reason that WashoeGiant started this thread asking if there is a way to make the truck default to the last used setting.

Exactly. My old truck (2020) would remember the last trailer connected and default to that every time I reconnected. I only pull one trailer, and I pull it a lot, so digging in the menus to reselect the same trailer every time is getting old fast.
