Okay experts, I need help. 2007 PSD King Ranch 4X4 and my granddaughter was in the front passenger seat. She ran the power seat all the way forward and I cannot get it to move back. I can get the back to go up and down and the front of the seat to go up and down, but forwards and backwards nothing. Praying it is something cheap and simple. Need advise.
take a look under the seat. There should be a metal track that a pinion gear off the motor meshes into. Check and see if anything is wedge in the track or in between the gears.Very seldom do people run the seat all the way foward, that say there could just be some gunk and dirt its bound up with.
These trucks are older and the motors tend to get a little weak so it may jhust not be able to compensate for the extra resistance. Does the motor whine when you try to go back and forth or is forawrd and backwards just dead
