Filled up this morning after installing the gizmo yesterday. It showed 1220km to empty (758 miles). I went for a nice highway cruise, and initially DTE dropped down to under 1150km (715 miles), then slowly crept up again with the decent empty highway mileage. After I parked, it showed 1215km (755mi) to empty, after having driven 75km (47mi). Pretty typical for when I get on the highway after doing a lot of in town driving.
Just in case there was some confusion on how to connect the module . The correct way to connect your module acording
to S&B is to connect the ford module via the s&b jumper to the bottom of the s&b module.
UPDATED VIA S&B TECH 1/27/2026 IS IN THE VIDEOS IN MY LATTER POST , Which is different then what the original S&B tech said

Raymond,
Your fill gallons is close to what I figured mine will be around once I get the module. I average in the 17 MPG’s, as most my drives are long distances. Thanks for the follow up.
connections are all the same ,I spoke with S&B and dint really get a definative answer on the connection questions or reverting back to your original fuel tank size if it was changed with forscan.Updated videos from S&B . I have used both sides of the S&B module and it doesnt seem to make a difference .But I will go with the updated install

Anyhoo a bit of a heads-up here, for those of you like me that made the changes to the fuel tank capacity with Forscan and left those changes in place. As per a discussion with S&B, you need to revert the fuel tank capacity changes back to what it was originally with Forscan, before you install their device.

Enjoy!
Would be nice to know exactly why, like if that value is included in the final result or not. S&B only provides a couple of options to flick through, which line up with the tanks they offer. If the value set by Forscan influences the result with the S&B device, a person could probably use a combination of both to support most if not any aftermarket fuel tank sizes.
What’s the install like? I looked at the instructions and that looks like a lot of the dash coming apart just to plug in the dongle. I see a lot of potential broken clips!
Install was pretty simple, noticed you have more dte when set to 60 gal then 68 which makes no sense and the app shows a different number then truck. Reached out to s&b they said don’t pay attention to tank size when selecting but since I have 68 use the higher of the 2 numbers. They also said it don’t matter which way the plugs went either way works. Basically how the device works is it multiples your dte by different values depends on the tank you select.

Not bad at all. Clips unclipped and clipped back in easily. No broken one, and no rattles afterwards.
I asked S&B customer service but couldn't quite get a positive answer... if the tank size value in forscan was previously changed (prior to installing the module, for example), does it need to be changed back to its original value to correctly calculate?
