I’m out the cab of my 56 on the frame and it’s not centered. I have about 3/4 of an inch to the passenger side. Was wondering if there was a way to move it over to center it. The front mounts would be easy to just drill new holes. The back with the dog bone mounts seem like it will be more difficult to adjust.
do the holes in the cab align with the holes in the cab mounts on the frame ?? sounds .like something is tweeked. They do make adjustable dog bones but they address tilt more than side to side alignment.
have you checked to see if the frame is square (diagonal measurements) ?? and maybe do the same on the cab, corner to corner to see if it's skewed a little. 3/4" seems like a lot.
If it's 3/4" more to one side that means it is only out 3/8". Grand scheme of things it's not going to make a lot of difference unless your pictures show differently
John everything lined up pretty good. More measuring tonight.
56panelford I get what your saying. Maybe have to get a little more mounted up and see where the bed and fenders sit.
These old trucks were never designed or built to Lexus tolerances. You're on the right track with not getting overly excited about fractions of inches here and there, and wait until the truck is together to fit everything together.
