Shift box for E4OD.
Thinking one of these would bypass all the factory controls/sensors and allow me to control the trans the way I want. Drove semi for years figure this won't be an issue. 300 bucks and my truck back on the road sounds great to me.
with that said, i would inspect ALL plugs going into the trans for good connections and no frayed wires and save yourself $300

Here's all I found for the E4OD.

There is for the C6. I considered going to one in my Bullnose truck, but instead I rebuilt the VRV and transmission.

E40D: The Importance Of A Clean Trans Harness

Figure the switch set up would bypass the factory computer. Allowing me to put the trans into the gear I want and not rely on sensors or the computer. Gets wired directly to the solenoids I believe. Not sure if that's how it works. Why I'm asking. May try a new or reman PCM this spring. Checked throttle position sensor and adjusted. New speed sensor in rear end. Solenoid pack replaced while back.
Truck is in storage for the WI winter. Not getting salt on my rust free baby. Sure would be nice to be able to drive and depend on it this spring. Not my daily driver, but is my fishing boat hauler. Last resort 5 speed.
My advice would be start with the pcm. Easiest thing to try unless something is clearly damaged. Will be getting another as a spare while I can.
Also the new one was a F4 part number, 1994 I believe. Should have written it down but didn't. Which may have been an upgrade at some point to the van being a 93.
Few more test drives before I trust it. YIPPPEEE..
If it's a '94 unit, it probably shifts better than it did when it rolled off the assembly line.
It's tricky when they fail because there's no sensor or code to tell you, that the shift computer itself is faulty.
The good thing about throwing a '94 teca at it though in hopes, is at least you get a good upgrade even if it doesn't fix a guys current issue, so there's no loosing in the end I suppose anyway.
Both of my trucks have reman '94 units. Wouldn't change a thing about their shift scheduling. I can tell you, before each of them failed over the years, the '93 units were not bad either. They improved them throughout the years. Not sure where the big jump was, where you'd really feel the difference/upgrade. Likely not much further back.
