newbie here

Hi -

I just picked up a new-to-me 2019 F250 4x4 XLT 4x4 with the 6.2 engine and 146,000 miles. I've got a 29' RV, a large cargo trailer, and a flatbed trailer that I tow from time to time, and I needed a truck to tow them.

I've been doing some internet searches about a few things related to the F250, and I seem to keep ending up on this site looking at posts, so I thought I should join.

I also started looking at issues with these trucks on the NHTSA site, and by far the #1 issue seems to be the death wobble. I own a couple of old high mileage Jeeps so I'm quite familiar with that issue and have experienced it a few times. On the Jeeps it was caused by worn ball joints and other steering components. From what I'm reading, on Fords it seems that the track bar and camber bushings are the usual culprits. I absolutely do not want to experience this when towing, so I'll be checking those ASAP.

Anyway, I'm glad to be here

Yep, those are usually the culprits. Had it on my 1999 F-350 for a bit when I first got it. It wasn't severe, and never had a chance to get severe. New track bar fixed it right up!

Welcome aboard!
